Emdee Tiamiyu

Emdee Tiamiyu is a Data Management Consultant at Adam Smith International (ASI) where he oversees the Database Access, Integration & Needs of MAFITA, a DFID-Funded Project that empowers marginalized youths in North-Western Nigeria. Prior to joining Adam Smith International, Emdee had previously worked at various technology companies including a Multi-national ICT training firm and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

While at the NYSC, Emdee Tiamiyu led the team that built the first and official NYSC Mobile Application that helps connect over 75,000 Youth Corps Members across the country. He discovered the vacuum in NYSC’s Social Media Strategy which was evident in the poor online engagement with her youth corps members. To bridge this gap, Emdee sought the support of the Director General and set up the first Social Media Strategy Team for the NYSC. In 2017, just before he left the NYSC, Emdee invested over 60 hrs of coding rebuilding a brand new official website for the NYSC, live at www.nysc.gov.ng.

Emdee Tiamiyu is more popularly known for his Daily Inspirational Messages that is now delivered to over 60,000 readers in 26 countries via major social media platforms. In the last 25 months, Emdee has delivered over 65 speeches across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, in the People’s Republic of China and in the United States of America. Emdee is the author of the best-selling book “Act like a Corper, Think Like a Gold” an inspirational book that helps youths get the best out of the NYSC programme . He is a 2016 Mandela Washington Fellow. During his Fellowship in the United States, he learned Public Management best practices at the Arizona State University (ASU). Emdee Tiamiyu was privileged to meet and shake hands with President Barack Obama in Washington DC. He is passionate about youth development and digitization of the public sector in Nigeria. Emdee is a professional communicator, Motivational Speaker and the Curator of TEDx IsaleGeneral.
